If your like me, you probably have a lot of zip files from all the freebies you have found (and more your finding here...hee hee :). Well that can be a daunting task to think about unzipping them all ONE at a TIME...ugh!

I wish I could remember which forum I read it in (sorry I can't give proper credit) but someone suggested a program that will unzip more than one file at a time. Well I went to the website and downloaded "Unzip Them All". OMGosh! What a great little program and a huge time saver. It will unzip rar and zip all in the one program. If you love it...leave a donation like I did...since the fellows offer it up for free.

Monday Freebies

Since "American Idol" has ended, I think like my sister...I'm going through withdrawals! Me and DBF have started to watch "So You Think You Can Dance" as a replacement. So far, so good...I really like the audition part of these type shows. I will have to add however, that the voice and laugh of the one judge Mary Murphy drives me nuts! If I make it to the end of summer without throwing something at the TV, I'll be lucky. The things we will put up with amazes me.

Me...MTV??

Well I think I have another TV show that I think is pretty entertaining...can you guess? Probably not since there is so much TV (too much really) so I will just tell ya. PunK'd! Crazy I know, but me and DBF really have fun watching it together and it's actually pretty funny. Of course I don't know where I have been and why I have never seen it before, but I have now seen about 10 episodes out of 8 seasons. Guess I will get to enjoy all the re-runs. Any way it is worth watching if you like to laugh.

Sunday Freebies

Boy...I missed a couple days posting since I had to go back to work. Working really messes up my day! lol :) I'm back working light duty until workers compensation approves my surgery, not sure how long that will be. (I have a shoulder boo boo) Then I will get to play all day again. hee hee :)

Well I finally watched the one I thought should win "American Idol"...WIN! David Cook, you rock! I will be first in line to buy his first album. I think he is just all around awesome.

Just hanging out on this 3 day weekend, getting ready to go see "Indiana Jones" new movie. It always rains in these parts on Memorial Day weekend, so we don't plan any camping or outdoor activities. My DBF hates rain so why risk putting ourselves in a potential rain situation. I'm quite happy to lounge around in my jammies all weekend anyway.

"Meet Joe Black"

It's Sunday morning and I am just hanging out wondering why I am not on a motorcycle ride with my DBF...the sun is shining...the house is "pretty" clean...so why am I at home and he is out cruising? I hope to figure that out before the day is over. While doing all this contemplating, I was scanning through TV channels and came upon a movie I hadn't seen in awhile. There was only about 30 minutes left...but in that short time it reminded me what a "wonderful" movie Meet Joe Black was. There are so many great morals in the movie...the one that hits home hard today is "Live every day like it's your Last". Guess I will think twice, and won't sit at home next time there is an opportunity to be with someone I love and do something really FUN! Anyway, it you haven't seen it...Rent it! It's a great Love Story too.

My Birth Day and German Scrapbooking Day

Well yesterday was my birthday and all in all...it was a pretty good day. Went out to dinner with my DB and got to eat a little something not on the diet. Sweet potato french fries...yummmm!! Got some cards, got some presents and this year I got a lot of well wishes from the scrapbooking community. Even a few Birthday Kits...yea! To top off the day, watched American Idol and my favorite David Cook moved through to the finals. I'm voting for him next Tuesday.

It's German Scrapbooking Day...so for those of you looking for some really beautiful freebies start here for the blog party.

Company coming & a freebie!

Well the plane tickets are purchased...Steve's girls will be coming for a visit the end of July. I'm so excited to see Melissa, since she hasn't been up our way since the summer of 2005. Wow...that's too long! After their visit I should have plenty to scrap about. I will be watching American Idol tonight...and my vote will be for David Cook. Go David!

Mothers Day...

Today I made a layout especially for my Mom. She passed in 1996, but a day doesn't go by that I don't miss her. This is one of few pictures that she has a genuine smile. It is one of my favorites. Happy Mother's Day!

Blog Face Lift...

Today I was learning how to do a few things to give my blog a face lift. Changed the background, spiffied up the banner and learned how to add various page elements. The hardest was the silly "blinkie". I had to search all over the web to finally find out how to make the darn thing blink! Gearing up for the big day tomorrow. I'm hopeful to hear from the boys, and while I'm waiting I will scrap a page about my Mom who is no longer with us. Better find the Kleenex. If you want to comment on my blog changes...feel free.

New Layout...

This layout was done by following a great tutorial for beginners (like me!) over at Ferg Design. It was pretty easy to follow and most of the keyboard shortcuts worked for Photoshop Elements 6, which is what I use. I used freebie "Template 218" courtesy Andrea and the freebie kit "Don't be Shy" by D. Corbitt. I think it turned out pretty good. I practised a few harder techniques that are new to me, tell me what ya think. Oh yeah...it really is almost "Happy Birthday to Me"!

This kit (A Woman's Way) is so pretty and girly girl...I love it! It's a collaborative effort between JenLin Designs and Mandy Mistique. You can get it over at Digital Candy, who knows you might still get a good price like me!
This one (Shabby Chic Garden) is also over at Digital Candy and is sweeeet! A mega kit with enough to scrap an unlimited amount of layout with a springy...summertime look.
As you can see...I'm ready to scrap the fun colors of spring and summer! Lauren Grier and Misty Cato really put together a cutie with this one. The Sweetshoppe is where you can find this one (Rooty Tooty). This could be my most favorite!
Ooh la la! Ashlee & Sweet have this really beautiful kit called "Nina's Garden". A must...
And here is number one! Lauraskathi's Colors of Spring which can be purchased at Scrapbook-bytes. Another mega kit (i'm kinda fond of more bang for your buck) with some really great elements and wonderful color combinations.

Well there was more...and I loved them all but these few kinda stood out for me. Besides I don't want to get boring.

Here are the two layouts I did this weekend for Linda Walton's challenge over at 3Scrapateers. Was a challenge for me since I'm such a newbie to posting in gallery and forums...not to mention even learning how to make a layout. I think I've got the hang of the basics, so practice...practice...practice!
